Why were the BSS Ansar intially under Taqiyya?

From the beginning of the call after the death of King Abdullah on the 23rd of January 2015 the Black Banner Ansar were ordered to observe taqiyya on Facebook except for a few from the first believers in the call, who had the task to spread it to the Ansar.

Upon hearing the news of the 12 men, who were now exposing the false office, Abdullah Hashem (as) prayed to Allah (swt) to guide him to the truth, and upon receiving his answer, he believed in the call of the 12 men (pbut). Abdullah Hashem (as) began producing videos in secret, calling people to awaken to this great revelation, and raising the new Black Banner of the Imam (pbuh) while the office continued to praise him, further proving that their so-called imam is ignorant of the unseen. He finally came out in the open and denounced the office, along with those around him. This was a huge shot to the Illegitimate Office, and many people became aware of the deception.

Only on the 13th of June 2015 the Ansar were ordered to reveal their identities and did so one after the other by raising the Black banner in their official accounts – the first of them being Abdullah Hashem (as) and the Ansar with him in Egypt. There are many incidents, where an Imam would reveal certain things to one or several of his companions, and tell them not to share this, except when the Imam commands, or except when such and such happens.

Imam Ali (as) e.g. would tell Salman Al-Farsi (as) heavy knowledge that Salman shouldn't reveal, to the point where Imam Ali (as) said: "If Abu Dharr knew, what is in the heart of Salman he will kill him!". – Al-Kuleini, Al-Kafi, part 1, page 401; Explanation of Usul Al-Kafi of Al-Mazandarani, part 7, p.5

Abu Dharr had reached the 8th or 9th level of faith, and Salman had reached the 10th level of faith. Both of them are great companions of Imam Ali (as) – yet Imam Ali (as) would tell Salman things, that he could not tell Abu Dharr, because Abu Dharr wouldn't handle it. This shows, that iman (belief) and ma'rifah (knowledge of God) have different levels, and one cannot always bear the knowledge of the high ranking ones.

"Abū Dharr once came to Salmān while he was cooking in a cooking pot; while they were conversing with each other, the cooking pot overturned and its front side fell down on the ground, but not a drop of its curry or cooking fat fell down ; Abū Dharr was highly amazed at seeing this; Salmān picked up the cooking pot and placed it on the fire the second time, and they began conversing once again; while they were talking to each other, the pot overturned again, and nothing of the curry or cooking fat spilled…
Abū Dharr then left Salmān in the state of great astonishment, and while he was in his thoughts, he suddenly met Amīr al-Mu’minīn (‘a) at the door.
When the Imām ('a) saw Abū Dharr's state of amazement, He said to him: O Abā Dharr, what made you leave the presence of Salmān? And what made you frightened? Abū Dharr said to the Imām ('a): O Amīr al-mu’minīn, I saw Salmān doing such and such a thing, and I was amazed by that. Thereupon Amīr al-Mu’minīn (‘a) said to him: O Abā Dharr, If Salmān were to tell you what he knows, you would have said: May Allāh have mercy on the killer of Salmān."

Also Mufaddal ibn Umar knew things from Imam Al-Sadiq (as), which he could share with few people and not everyone.

Another example is how Ahmed Al-Hassan (as) mentioned in his book „The Calf“ that the vicegerents of Muhammad (sawas) are 12 (not 24), because he hadn't revealed himself as the first Mahdi in this book yet.

Ahadith and quotes on taqiyya

Baring the matter of Ahlul Bayt is to hide it and protect it, even if it causes unease

Imam Al-Sadiq (as) said: "Handling/ bearing our matter is not just believing it and accepting it. From handling/ bearing our matter is to hide it and protect it from other than its people."

And this is what the sunni scholar Al-Ghazali thought abou taqiyyah: "Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible (i.e. when the purpose of lying is to circumvent someone who is preventing one from doing something permissible), and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory… it is religiously precautionary in all cases to employ words that give a misleading impression…"

It is also remarkable that "taqiyya (concealment/dissimulation)" is a soldier of the mind which is opposing "declaring" - according to the famous hadith about Mind and its soldiers, and Ignorance and its soldiers.

After the video of the series "Ansar Pledge Allegiance Black Banners" had been released, Imam Ahmed Al-Hassan (as) sent the following message to all the Ansar participating in those videos:

"Congratulations to you for the great winning!"

One of the 12 came forth:

He (as) said: "Peace from Allah be upon you, O you who have supported the truth in a time, where supporters are rare. Peace be upon you O purified ones. By Allah, if Allah gives me ability I will knock at your doors and kiss your purified feet. Peace of Allah be upon all of you, O you who have denied the falsehood and have chosen eternity. You are the alive ones, and you are the high ones inshAllah. And may the curse of Allah be upon the ones who have chosen the little (vanity, nothingness) and have abandoned the abundant, have chosen the world with its filthiness and usurped the right of Muhammed and the Family of Muhammed [the usurpers who are] from the Office and its helpers."Ansar Din AlHak, 14th June, 2015

And one of the 12 said about Abdullah Hashem:

"You have made Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Al-Hassan, Al-Hussayn, and the Imams from the sons of Al-Hussayn, and Ahmed, and the Mahdis from the sons of Ahmed (as) happy. Congratulations to you, and blessed is this Eid (feast) of yours. The Hashemite drums have stricken. Peace of Allah be upon you O Abdullah Hashem. You are the Hashemite drums. May Allah grant you success to every goodness."

And one of the 12 said:

"Peace, Mercy, and Blessings of Allah be upon you. My purified brothers and sisters, O you who have supported the truth, be patient and adorn yourselves with patience, and do not let the enemies of Allah provoke you and do not lower yourselves to their [low] moral standards the morals of Umar and Abu Bakr and Uthman. Adorn yourselves with patience, and you are the high ones inshaAllah. And always remember:
A message from one of the Purified Ones to all who have believed in the Black Banners and announced their belief.
Remember what The Commander of Truth Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) said to Abu Dharr:
'O Abu Dharr! You have become angry for Allah, so hope from the One whom you got angry for. The people feared you because they are worried about their world (dunya), and you feared them because you are worried about your religion. So, leave in their hands what they are worried about,and escape from them by what you are worried about. They are in great need of what you have prevented them from. And you are in no need of what they have prevented you from. Tomorrow you will know who is the winner and who is more enviable. If the heavens and earths were joined together upon a believer and then he feared Allah, Allah will make for him an exit from them! Abu Dharr, let nothing keeps you company except for the truth, and nothing makes you lonely except for the falsehood. If you had accepted their Dunya (world) they would have loved you and if you had shared in it they would have given you asylum.'"
